GCISD music programs have been named Mark of Excellence and Citation of Excellence award winners, distinctions presented by The Foundation for Music Education.
Entries are adjudicated against outstanding programs from across the United States. The top 25% of entrants are recognized as National Winners, with the second 25% named as Commended Winners. The difference between the two awards is the ensemble classification.
