On April 26, Collegiate Academy competed at the UIL One-Act Play 3A Region III Championship and took home the title for the first time ever in program history. Three cast members were also awarded individual awards for their performance at the competition. CA will now advance to the UIL 3A State Championship, also a first for the program.
Collegiate Academy Theater Director Chris Williamson said, “I could not be more proud of our kids advancing to state. We are blessed at CA and these kids are extra special. None of this would have happened without the support of our community and the tenacity and brilliance of our kids.”
The state competition will be held Thursday, May 16, at Austin ISD’s Performing Arts Center. Good luck to CA’s fine arts students at State!
