Collegiate Academy New Principal: Lauren Jackson

Lauren Jackson, current assistant principal at the GCISD Collegiate Academy, was selected as the new principal of the school, at the December 11 Board of Trustees Regular Meeting.

Jackson has a history of success at Collegiate Academy over the past seven and a half years as a physics teacher, testing coordinator, learning liaison, and most recently, campus administrator.

“With Lauren’s experience at Collegiate Academy, and the relationships she’s built with faculty, students and families, there is no doubt that her vision and collaborative approach will help the campus to continue to realize tremendous success in the future years,” said Superintendent Dr. Brad Schnautz.

Throughout Jackson’s tenure at Collegiate Academy, her results-driven mindset has resulted in the development of efficient processes, while also building a positive culture to drive continuous improvement.

“Collegiate Academy has flourished into one of the highest performing early college high schools, and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our great school,” Jackson shared. “I am grateful for the strong partnership that we have with Tarrant County College Northeast, and I am excited to continue this legacy of student achievement and to push the boundaries to create new unique opportunities for our students.”

Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Educational Leadership, both from West Texas A&M University. She will begin her new role January 2, 2024.
