For the 2023-2024 School Year CA and TCC NE will partner together to provide a “Shark Tank” experience for CA students during 3rd Period Content Lab on Thursdays beginning February 15, 2024.

What is it?
It is a project led by TCC Business professors to help students learn about starting their own business. Last year students participating in the "Shark Tank" inspired experience, competed in the Texas Pitch Cup tournament, and two of th CA teams won cash prizes and advanced to the next round of competition. One of our CA students advanced to the final round of competition at SMU!
During the "Shark Tank" experience students will:
o Research how to start a business and develop ideas for businesses
o Meet with guest speakers to motivate, explain and inform about starting a business
o Lessons and check-in from TCC business professors as students work on business plans
o Create a business plan presentation led by TCC speech professors
Where and when?
Juniors and seniors participating in the shark tank experience will meet in Ms. Haney's room during 3rd period on Thursdays from 11:30-12:20 beginning February 15, 2024.
Why sign up?
This is a great project for anyone interested in learning how to start a business.
It is a great experience to add to your resume especially if you are interested in majoring in business.
It is a school activity that will show your involvement with the college.
Students who participated in the competition last year said it was a fun experience.
