ASPIRE
Cross Timbers Middle School is pleased to house ASPIRE Academy for the Highly Gifted for grades 6-8. The ASPIRE Academy curriculum aligns with NAGC standards and fulfills the standards outlined by the Texas State Plan for Gifted Education. The Depth and Complexity Framework is utilized to deepen students' learning in core content areas, and the Parallel Curriculum Model creates a truly differentiated experience for students in humanities and science. Both math and science are accelerated programs, offering ASPIRE students the opportunity to earn a minimum of three high school credits while in middle school: Algebra I, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, and Biology. Students who telescope beyond Algebra I may also earn high school credits for Geometry and Algebra II/PreCalculus through courses taught at CTMS.
